We know what your donors require.

How a project audit unfolds

  1. Reading the agreement

The financing agreement, budget, amendments and terms of reference set the framework of the engagement.

  2. Planning

Risks, sites to visit, samples and timetable are agreed with project coordination.

  3. Testing

Expenditure, contracts, assets, cash and sub-recipients are verified against documents and on site.

  4. Discussion of findings

Findings are discussed with the project before they are finalised.

  5. Reports

Audit report, internal control letter and follow-up of prior recommendations, in the donor’s format.
